झील के नीचे छिपे हुए जीवन के संकेत

ने दावा किया कि उन्होंने अंटार्कटिक की बर्फ के नीचे दबी दो करोड़ साल पुरानी एक झील में छेद करने में सफलता हासिल कर ली है। इससे झील के नीचे के जीवन के बारे में अनोखी और अद्भुत जानकारी मिलने की उम्मीद बंधी है। रूसी संवाद समिति रिया नोवोस्ती के अनुसार अंटार्कटिक में लेक वोस्तोक में बर्फ के नीचे चार किमी की गहराई पर छेद किया गया है। एक सूत्र ने बताया हमारे वैज्ञानिकों ने 3768 मीटर की गहराई तक छेद किया और वे झील की सतह तक पहुंचने में कामयाब हो गए। झील का पानी चलायमान है लेकिन बर्फ के नीचे चार किलोमीटर की गहराई पर होने के बावजूद वहां ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति पाई गई है। इसके साथ ही खोदी गई बर्फ में पहले ही सूक्ष्म जीवाणु पाए गए हैं। रूसी विज्ञान अकादमी में खगोल विज्ञान विभाग के निदेशक डॉ. ब्लादीमिर कोतल्याकोव ने बताया लेक वोस्तोक में सूक्ष्म जीवाणुओं की खोज का मतलब हो सकता है कि यूरोप में कहीं और भी जीवन है। डेली मेल में प्रकाशित समाचार में बताया गया है कि रूसी आर्कटिक और अंटार्कटिक शोध संस्थान के विशेषज्ञ अब झील से लिए गए पानी के नमूने की जांच करेंगे। इस बीच सरकारी रूसी संवाद समिति ने दावा किया है कि जर्मन तानाशाह एडोल्फ हिटलर के अभिलेखागार का बहुमूल्य गुप्त भंडार इसी जगह के समीप किसी बर्फ के बंकर में दबा हो सकता है।
रिया नोवोस्ती ने कहा ऐसा समझा जाता है कि द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध की समाप्ति के दिनों में नाजी दक्षिणी ध्रुव की ओर बढ़ गए थे और उन्होंने लेक वोस्तोक में अड्डे का निर्माण शुरू कर दिया था। संवाद समिति ने एडमिरल कार्ल दोंतीज के 1943 के उस बयान का उल्लेख किया है जिसमें कहा गया था, जर्मन के पनडुब्बी बेड़े को इस बात का गर्व है कि उसने हिटलर के लिए अंटार्कटिक में दुनिया के दूसरे छोर पर एक अभेद्य किला बना लिया है।
